Whiplash

Greatest movie of all time. J.K Simmons is one of the greatest actors of all time and playes his roll perfectly. Miles Teller is just as good too and you can really see the dedication he had to the roll. The pacing through the movie was amazing. and the scenes were the best ever.

Whiplash leaves you with one question. Does the end justify the means? Is what our protagonist endures a necessary process in order to achieve the highest level of success. Or is it a path that has led him to lose himself and fall deeper into a one sided abusive relationship.

At the core of this film is the obsession to achieve greatness, how dedication can become too extreme and the sacrifices you will have to make along the way. Everything about this film is outstanding, from performance to plot to the idea of pushing limits vs. abuse.

this movie was actually really good. it definitely isn’t something i’d lick to watch but my bf recommended it and it’s super good id definitely recommend it. 8.9/10
