Mission: Impossible

Very confusing at the start, too much information dropped on the viewers. Also the editing and scenes at the start seemed a bit lacklustre. After the start tho it definitely got better. The CIA heist scene one of the most iconic spy/ action scenes ever. Train scene also very good

There's no doubt that this movie is iconic, but only bits of it, little bits even. They rammed up too many people, places, and things, most with the same type of writing. Overloaded what I was taking in and as a result, felt underwhelming. I ended up forgetting or not paying attention to what I should have been and I've done the same on every rewatch. The sequels definitely improve but as a start, it needed to be a lot more solid. A wobbly start to a strong franchise. Iconic score, fantastic visuals, and action/stunts, it's mission impossible, you know what to expect.

Classic thriller and spy film. But that's just it. Over the years it has become like many others. It contains a lot of information to confuse the viewer so that they are no longer interested in the plot but only in the action. The CIA heist scene it's the best. 6,5/10

This was on my list forever to see and boy was I excited. After finishing it I would say massively disappointed. So confusing, hard story to follow, never got connected to the characters in any real way. Glad I gave it a try because I heard the rest are better

The start of Cruise's Ethan Hunt. The theme song is catchy and it has some memorable scenes. It's fun to see the groundwork this laid for the series. Imperfect but you can respect what this brought to the spy genre.
