Mission: Impossible

Very confusing at the start, too much information dropped on the viewers. Also the editing and scenes at the start seemed a bit lacklustre. After the start tho it definitely got better. The CIA heist scene one of the most iconic spy/ action scenes ever. Train scene also very good

This was a great spy movie. It had one of the best heist scenes I’ve ever seen where I was holding my breath due to the suspense and what was at stake when they were infiltrating the CIA Headquarters. After watching this first movie, I’m very excited to check out the other films

There's no doubt that this movie is iconic, but only bits of it, little bits even. They rammed up too many people, places, and things, most with the same type of writing. Overloaded what I was taking in and as a result, felt underwhelming. I ended up forgetting or not paying attention to what I should have been and I've done the same on every rewatch. The sequels definitely improve but as a start, it needed to be a lot more solid. A wobbly start to a strong franchise. Iconic score, fantastic visuals, and action/stunts, it's mission impossible, you know what to expect.
