The Killer

Didn't know if I could make it past the 20 min mark. Spoiler: I didn't. The stiffness and panning of the camera made me want to kill. It looks cool, the action looks great too. The overused slow-mo shots and lighting, the stunts and effects, it was great but the script, acting, and slightly stupid plot made me want to kill...even more. If this movie aimed to create a killer from pure boredom and aesthetics, then John Woo sir, you have achieved your goal. Overdone and overused yet surprisingly undercooked. I rather the quality was in the script rather than the lens.

Time passes pleasantly, it's not a profound film for an Oscar, it has constant action like John Wick and stars two excellent actors, Omar Sy who will do well in whatever he plays and Nathalie who I think is the 3rd time I've seen her in such a role... overall an excellent film to watch in a relaxed evening without pointless dialogues and fanfare 7 / 10

A very average action movie with average plot, acting, chemistry, action and expected ending. Nothing about this movie screams good. I am forgetting the plot of the film while writing this review even though I just watched the film. That’s how average the film is.
