This was slightly overlooked at the time but I don’t know why. The plot is good, you’ve got a great cast with Charlie Hunnam as the lead, theirs some good ideas and the script is ok but the main thing is the action is among the best I’ve ever seen. Incredible CGI and great fun

Just. An. Absolute. Mess. Horrible writing, horrible acting, the fight scenes are nonsensical messes. Every sci-fi, Asian, battle bot trope. As a Del Toro fan, this is probably the worst movie he’s done.
