One of my favorite movies ever, which they made a second one. Literally left a huge opening at the end.

So bad it's almost good. So good it's almost bad. Feels a lot like the blockbuster hits from its time, hits like Avatar (2009). I say that but it's more of a wannabe. The casting to begin with is simply boring. Even Bryan Cranston and his insane Gary Oldman impression. In general, the characters are cliché, the story is cliché and the title is terrible. It has fantasy and sci-fi elements that make no sense but make all the sense. It takes place on Mars. It's got green aliens and cute creatures. Yet, 'John Carter' is what we title it. I think that shows expected genericness.
