i have a weird take on this film. before saying anything, i want the say i thought the book was good and im going to explain why: the book was in no way intended to romanticize pedophilia, twisted fantasies, or anything else that the content was centered around. comments -> (1/?)

i litterly cant get through this movie its so upsetting

i can understand how this got higher ratings than the 1997(Lyne), but while the seggsual scenes where a bit hard to watch, they were necessary as without them Humbert is just an overprotective father with Lolita acting like a spoiled kid, which this version lacks (motive),4.5/10

The one with Jeremy Irons is better
