I hate Jessie

loved how they added the photographs from the journalists in the big scenes, that truly was immersive. cinematography, color pallet, shot composition was so fucking good. those silent moments made it way more intense. i really wanted more plot, but another solid A24 film. 9 / 10

My girl Jessie was really in for a wild ride, mostly because of her own damn actions…

This movie follows a group of war journalists during a futuristic civil war. They are capturing footage of the war and in an attempt to interview the President find themselves on the front lines. When a young inspiring journalist joins the group they aim to protect her and at what cost will they do so?

I give this movie 6.5 bags of 🍿 as I found it very interesting and regrettably realistic for the time. I found that it did lack substance but at the same time I felt like that was the point. I did enjoy this movie for what it was worth and would recommend it for anyone to watch.
