It isn’t close to the quality of the predecessor, but it adds some creepy backstory elements. There are a few truly unsettling moments, but the narrative is a bit uneven. A decent watch.

I must be one of the very few who actually loves this movie, probably slightly more than the original. Also, I think this is one of the better "haunted house" movies, and you got Burt Young here playing another asshole character lol. Some nostalgia is at play here for me.
