one of my favorite movies

borderline of meh and like. for scorsese i just felt like it was kind of weak. the ending to me was completely unrewarding after watching a character go through hell. also completely improbable

it’s typical of scorsese to show a man experiencing hell during the night. paul was losing gradually his chances to return home until the very end and it annoyed me a bit
overall i wouldn’t say that i will watch it again

One of Scorseses best!

such a strange scorsese project, by far one of his most stylistically unique and utterly brilliant films. a constant thrill-ride from the literal thrill-ride onwards with amazing performances and immensely powerful cinematography. infinitely enjoyable
