i think u need to watch dr who to really understand it but i absolutely love torchwood. grew up watching dw & this so it's v nostalgic💌

i’d suggest to watch doctor who before this, even if the vibes aren’t the same.
this is more psychological, brutal and REAL. cool plots and great main character, there’s a bit of everything which makes it various.
first two seasons are iconic and s3 is a masterpiece.

I love this spin off it’s so cool and I love the writing but by the end it got so dark man, but I love captain jack so.

Last season wasn’t my favourite but I loved the rest

interesting seeing this after watching all of doctor who… the vibe is completely different but i like the darker tone of the show. i do have some issues with it, such as the weird relationship between jack and gwen most of the show, the rapey vibe of one of the first episodes, the character Owen in general, gwen “confessing” to rhys about cheating but then drugging him so he didn’t remember…. just some questionable things in my opinion, though they do fit the theme of the show being darker. very much “a group of random people who have talents but have no clue what they’re doing and they all flirt with each other and lie and cheat but hey at least they saved the world while the doctor is off world”. but i liked it, honestly. just wouldn’t rewatch i guess. i prefer the captain jack harkness character writing in the actual doctor who show, more than this spin off. i do wish they would’ve shown more of his past and relationship with family, since the dude is literally from the future and has traveled all throughout it and is immortal. didn’t really deliver in that aspect. also ended in a weird way but maybe it was canceled.

Loved the first episode but then realized it was a "monster of the week" format...not for me.
