Shadow and Bone

the 1st season has been one of my comfort shows since it came out, & i just watched the 2nd. i truly love this adaptation, even though it deviates from the books a lot. is it basically crow insert fanfic? yes, and i’m gonna eat it up. but the end of s2 was… a choice…. um… idk !

OMG !!! If you haven’t seen this show first plz if you have time the books are beautifully written and are just a wonder of the world. The show is absolutely perfect the cast was chosen perfectly and I guarantee you’ll find a character to fall in love with. *kaz brekker* 🥰💋😘😆❤️✨

Can't even complain too much about it not following the books bc of the crows cast and they make the rather dull s&b plot more interesting. Also visually this show is so so ugly

It’s a bit different from the books, but I might prefer it, to be honest. The best part of the series is definitely the characters. They are all so different and real. Some charismatic, others hilarious, reserved, and so on. Their complexities really make the story.

Typical Netflix 'teen' series with great high points but steep low points too. The books are clearly well saturated, so much lore yet barely any of it stands out or stays repetitive enough to remember. Watched s1 and I could tell you the jist of the plot but almost nothing about the world and characters. Not only that but the visual effects/practicality is almost wasted. Nearly all the build-up missed hitting a climax and the villain was a huge miscast. The other 5 main characters were perfect and I hope they make it into other projects. I tried to get into s2 but they're constantly pulling things out of thin air that make no real sense to me. Also, the title is awful.
