Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
Personally the best romance anime I’ve seen so far, the characters are really funny and endearing (as specially Yu) and the story wasn’t that bad but the characters, the relationships and the evolution of all this make the beauty of this anime and makes it really different from -

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
🌟
Love is War è una serie animata che porta con sé il meglio del genere comico, narrativo e addirittura drammatico.
La storia parla dell’amore tra due materie grigie e di come entrambi facciano il possibile per far dichiarare l’altra persona.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
This show it’s not like any other rom-com Anime, it’s made so good with some relatable characters and mostly each episode has a different story with intriguing mind games

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
I absolutely loved this show. I really am not a romcom person - in fact, I think this might be the first romcom I have ever seen. It’s just really not a genre that has ever stuck out to me, but I can absolutely see that changing now. This is simulatenously one of the most heartwarming and funniest things I have ever seen, and I am so glad my girlfriend recommended it to me. I loved almost every part of it.
The most obvious thing is that I absolutely adore all of the characters. Miyuki and Kaguya are such fantastic protagonists, and this show is at its best when these two are interacting and the episode is revolving around them. Their dynamic is just SO MUCH fun. However, the supporting cast is amazing as well. Ishigami and Miko are also great, but the absolute standout is Chika - her persoanlity is literally so much fun to watch. These characters are all so deep and in-depth as well - I think Ishigami is easily the most interesting character. I watched the American dub, and the voice actors knocked it out of the PARK. They all have such great energy, and the narrator is absolutely hilarious.
This show is also so incredibly funny. I honestly think the first season might be the funniest, as it’s the least plot-focused season, so there’s more time to dedicate entire chunks of the episodes to singular bits, and some are just hilarious. It’s still funny as it gets more plot-centric, but there were moments in the first season where I was just dying. This show brings you through the full range of emotions - I was crying from laughter AND from emotion.
However, there are a couple of flaws. Firstly, I do think the show gets a little distracted as time goes on. As it becomes more focused around different characters and their plots, there is a little less focus put on the relationship between Miyuki and Kaguya and, as I said before, the show is definitely at its best when it’s focused on that. It gives other amazing characters like Ishigami and Hayasaka time to shine, so it’s absolutely a double-edged sword, but I would have enjoyed a little more focus on Miyuki and Kaguya near the end.
There are also moments where I was just kind of disgusted by some of the “fan service.” There was an entire OVA dedicated to fan service, and it made me feel so disgusting. It was so out of character for all these characters to act like that, and I just felt dirty watching it. We also need to remember that this is a show featuring HIGH SCHOOLERS. Having episodes and moments like that should be completely unacceptable.
