I’m honestly struggling to find the right words to express just how much I loved Insecure. It was hilarious, relatable, occasionally over-the-top, but also deeply emotional and, at times, tragic. The show managed to balance humor and vulnerability in a way that felt so real.

Lawrence was a mess, sometimes I rooted for him, sometimes I couldn’t stand him. But I have to give him credit, he eventually took responsibility for his actions, and there’s something satisfying about watching someone genuinely grow and hold themselves accountable (even if it took a minute).

Molly frustrated me for most of the show, I’m not gonna lie. But by the end, her character development really hit, she grew, and it felt earned. Tiffany took a while to warm up to, but her motherhood storyline felt incredibly real and brought a new layer to her character that made me empathize with her a lot more. And Kelli? A diva from start to finish. She had her moments where she could be a bit much, but honestly she might be the most consistently entertaining and underrated character of the series.

But Issa? Issa was my favorite. Her awkwardness, her love for her city, her community, and her friends, it was all so genuine and heartwarming. She was easily the most relatable character for me. She made a lot of mistakes, but I felt for her every step of the way. Watching her navigate life, love, career, and identity was such a powerful and emotional experience. Insecure felt like watching real people grow, stumble, and evolve. I already miss it. 🙂‍↕️
