Winter's Bone

9.2 - Ansolutely gripping. Both suspenseful & sincere. The pace is excellent, & you can really feel the effects of the setting on the story. Lastly, Lawrence is captivating. This launched her career & may be my favorite performance of hers. Will definitely be coming back to this.

As someone who grew up around the same area, I can’t even describe how accurate the setting was.
Outside of that, this movie was incredible. Although the plot moves slowly, the characters are so intriguing you’ll never be bored. It’s suspenseful, dark, and wonderful.

Slow going and never picks up pace. The only positive is highlighting the great struggles that some people face in certain parts of America
