The only Hitchcock film that has ever left me feeling bored and unmoved. As a diehard Jimmy Stewart fan I was disappointed. The male gaze can die. ​​​​​​​​​​

At first I thought it was good, then halfway through I thought it was ok, and by the end it all came together incredibly well.

as someone who went to school in san juan bautista, this is a culturally important film, but also an incredibly iconic masterpiece as one of hitchcock’s best. the narrative is wonderfully strange and suspenseful with excellent writing, performances, and visual style. excellent
