This Is Where I Leave You

my favorite genre of movie is “parent dies and children have to come back to childhood home and live together for an extended period of time” and this is a great addition to my list

This is such a catastrophically human movie, everyone is so genuinely shitty it hurts to watch.

I’m not normally a dramedy enthusiast but this one drew my attention due to the fantastic ensemble cast. The writing is well done and all of the acting was well performed. I recommend this movie as a very good way to spend an hour and 43 minutes. You won’t regret it.

Cast was good but also kinda took me out of it to have that many big names/recognizable faces together. All I could think was “Jane Fonda” the whole time lol. Plot was meh. 🤷‍♀️
