-this one was hard to rate, until i read an explanation
-i hate the twins, they’re the worst
-makes total sense how so much devotion to something can lead a person to leave it behind when it all falls apart
-self awareness is very important

What do we gain from watching this

amazing.
i was hesitant to watch because i don’t usually go for hyper-accurate period pieces but i’m so glad i did because it’s incredibly well done and i really appreciated the accuracy
it’s so isolating in a scary way, emotionally and physically
the acting was great too

I don’t like it good acting somewhat but like she signs the book at the end meaning she was no better all the kids got possessed where did the twins even go (they were annoying anyway) how the hell do you even like the characters didn’t even try they just cried

i mean the movie is really slow, focusing more of the cinematography than the action. however the theming of the movie - the constant witch-hunt and blaming someone for problems of the family/blaming witchcraft - that’s what makes the film interesting and worth the watch for me. i liked the ending as well and how it incorporated actual witchcraft with the talk and conspiracy of witchcraft and blaming women
