One of Paul Newman’s best performances (which you could say about any of them tbh). Doesn’t feel formulaic and has its own structure for a courtroom drama. I enjoyed how the ending dealt with a traditional win but not in a traditional way. Wasn’t a fan of one scene. Great film

Sidney Lumet is masterful, his films have a certain maturity to them. I was glued to the screen for the film’s entirety thanks to exceptional writing, clever camerawork, and a captivating story. A courtroom drama that also focuses on a man’s life and the moral dilemmas he faces.
