why the FUCK do people like this? it’s the most boring thing i have ever seen in my entire life. i’d get more enjoyment from watching paint dry.

seems very directed towards the male gaze. was funny, cinematography good, and cool to see how ben slowly spiral into insanity. but why tf did elaine go back to him after he slept w her mother (and not to mention she thinks he SA’d her mom?????) idk just too dramatic for me maybe

+i wonder if elaines choices are written to be motivated by societal expectations at the time or if shes just another poorly written woman (maybe both)
+its so good, i wish i could watch it from the perspective of when it was released
