The Conjuring 2

This is great. The Nun is at her scariest in this film. More great scenes with Ed and Lorraine. I love the kids in this movie and their family dynamic. Interesting plot in regards to the media being involved. Not scary anymore, but as a teen it freaked me out good and proper fr.

That old man was actually terrifying. But the ending feels like it was a little rushed. I do really like the film tho. The plot is very good and I recommend watching all of the Conjuring films. But like all the movies were Ed and Lorain are in its often a great film.

While not as “scary” as the original, it still succeeds in nearly every way. This movie took the more “showing” than “telling” approach in contrast to the original, but it was still handled very well. The horror and emotional elements peaked, and will go down as one of the best.

of course if you LOVE horror it’s not that scary and jump scares don’t really equal to true sense of horror, just unexpected sounds along with the scary music lol….but the tension and desperation on this one is better than their other movies that feel full of forced jump scares 🫣
