The Cleansing Hour

The tone is a bit all over the place but the idea is fresh, the acting is solid, and the effects are great. The initial “big reveal” is pretty obvious but then there is an unhinged twist that takes it off the rails. One of the better Shudder Originals.

it took me three attempts to get past the first twenty minutes because I just couldn't vibe with it but I eventually sat down and watched it with my friend to fully get through it and OH. my gosh. I actually ADORED this movie. nothing special about it but it's just too good
