This film has the largest gap so far between films at seven years, which brings Harry Callahan into 80s. New decade, but the same old punks! I finally got to hear the second famous quote from this series, and man was it satisfying to hear “Go ahead, make my day”! So iconic!

As the fourth installment in the franchise, it doesn't quite live up to the first three. The noticeable time jump from the mid-'70s to the early '80s is reflected in the changes to the editing, soundtrack, & cinematography, which haven’t necessarily improved. However, it's not bad enough to write off completely, & I'd be open to watching it again.
