Star Trek

Mainly entertaining as an action movie spin on Star Trek, rather than being typical cerebral Trek, but the story is still interesting. They try to give more dimension to some characters and yet they're still not as endearing as original cast. Nice visuals and score!

4/5/24 Rewatch: upgrading from 👍 to ❤️. I have my quibbles with the script but the last hour of this movie just has SO many high points. More thoughts in comments.

Just amazing on all fronts perfect blend of action and drama and insane effects and cinematography

The reason why I rated a “love” and not a “like” is because of the cinematography. I loved how the closeups made the action better. At first I thought I was going to hate it but it ended being a great movie. CGI was great!

Fantastic, starts a great new journey of iconic characters and tales. The way the trilogy connects with the older films and shows in incredible!
