Spectacular set design in this film… loved it!… if you can get past the 17yr age gap between Christina Ricci (19) and Johnny Depp (36)… although in 1799 I’m sure that happened on the reg… In fact 19 May have been too old … eww. But that aside- Loved it!!!!

Tim Burton’s movie is always a good choice

pacing isn’t great. plot isn’t either. it’s somewhat too slow while new events are introduced hastily. also why are those two in love after being in the same room for 15 seconds? clear age gap too. story is nothing i haven’t seen before. good fx for a movie from 1999
