With a solid narrative and a fabulous performance by Del Toro, Brolin, and even Merced this film manages to stay as intense and engaging as its predecessor. Despite its slow pace it never put me into boredom. Its probably not as good as the first, but it’s a worthy sequel. 9.3/10

Sucker for these films. The tone, the stakes, the firepower and Del Toro and Brolin. Merced was a good addition.
