it was so good at first, but then it seemed like the director/writer got lazy and didn’t know how to finish it — and then the story become so unbelievable and was finished in such an unimaginative way that it made the whole movie not very good.

I was hooked by the first part of the movie - interesting, exciting, not quite sure what was around the corner. Then everything fell apart with the baby reveal. WHY?! Set everyone up for a monster in the sky movie and you give us a fkn giant sky bat rat and a fkn baby sob story.
