Secret Window

Very well paced and a phenomenal performance as always from Johnny Depp. The twist is kinda easy to foresee from the beginning but the plot keeps you entertained none the less. I doubt I’d watch it again but I’d recommend for a first watch. 7/10

Marketed as a thriller, but really more of an afternoon murder mystery with some twists. I think Secret Window is a good watch but takes a patient viewer. I found it to be a quick and painless watch; however, there was more to be desired for my time.

Movie kinda mid, but I loved Johnny’s performance.

Surprisingly decent adaptation of King’s book, with a better mood-fitting ending. Depp does great with the eccentricities as usual, and Turturro with a southern twang is creepy in itself lol.

A solid middle-of-the-road thriller, however the ending is rushed and seems to come from out of nowhere, almost as if the film was like “uh oh, we’re out of time! Cut to the third act now!”
