Favorite movie from childhood

8.6 - This is such a clever way to tell this story, framing with children’s questions and slowly answering them all. The classic Rankin Bass stop motion animation style, more classic Christmas music, and no real underlying problematic themes. (Plus Fred Astaire?!)

It wasn’t my favorite as a kid, but I do still get the nostalgia boost and watch it annually, and it’s definitely been improved as I’ve aged.

Plus Topper is 1b to Max from the Grinch’s 1a in Christmas sidekicks. *Honk Honk*

Haven’t felt the Christmas spirit in a decade but playing board games with my niece + grandma with this in the background and having my moms freshly baked, homemade cookies made me feel like a kid again. Don’t mind me if I cry
