Pride and Glory

There’s a decent story here, but the movie tries so hard to be something (dramatic , emotional, moralistic, political…) that the viewer can never really connect to anything. Wasted cast on a film that’s been done better.

If you’re looking for a mid 2000’s crime drama it does the job, technically. But a muddled thematic direction makes it hard for the audience to grasp on to any one idea or moral center of the story until too late.
