She should’ve ended up with duckie like the original script, I like Blaine but he’s kinda vanilla, and duckie was just perfect for her

Coming back to this to “love” it instead. After watching “Brats” this resonates even more deeply. Forget who said it in the doc, but specifically about Duckie: ‘you rewatch the film years later and see yourself in Duckie. Then you realise you moulded yourself from him at 15.’
