I don’t know what was worse… the visual effects or Tom Hank’s weaving in and out of his accent. This just did not work on so many levels.

Modified scenario, a seagull and a girl character added, why not
+We see more Mr. Gepetto compared to the cartoon
-The blue fairy does not correspond to the one in the cartoon -Songs too long -Gimini is ugly
-Monstro is not a whale, so disappointed on many levels

They allow for some good emotional moments with a story that we've known before. Hanks does a good job as Geppetto & leads to the human connection to this story. Sometimes, however, some re-interpretations within the plot do not work.
