this movie is so sad and makes you think about your own mortality, it’s kinda scary at certain parts too, i also really appreciated how all the sensitive deaths were (mostly) off-screen, i didn’t appreciate the whole "indian burial ground" thing though, that didn’t age well

Before the film, I read a book and this was probably the second book where I cried. It’s sad and scary probably close to the end(at least for me).
I liked the movie, but it doesn't have the same feeling as if you read the book, therefore 7/10.
I advise everyone to read the book.

This movie takes what could be a simple premise and intertwines themes of guilt, denial, and apathy incredibly. On top of that the acting is great (it’s amazing that they found a kid actor that could pull off Gage) and there are several actually good jump scares

Absolute classic. Everyone, horror fan or not should watch this. Explores mortality and life in a clever and unique way.

it’s like they asked someone to take notes on the book and then made the movie off of the notes 😒
