a movie about absolutely nothing that is also about absolutely everything. feels like a memory more than a film

A thought provoking and beautiful masterpiece. It’s a film that delves into the downsides of humanity and how art prevails over all. It’s a unique twist on the vampire genre and Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton are phenomenal.

Ong one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. It’s so beautiful but so weird. Idk if is recommend but I’d fight for this one tbh

Regardless of how you embrace that theme, the way it's presented and executed here is flawless. The performances are amazing and the way Jarmusch uses this kind of world is simply fun.

i like the premise of the film; two immortal lovers who live apart but still keep in contact bc they love each other. i love the idea of contaminated blood and “the good stuff”. however, it still has the broody, suicidal vampire which i think is an overused trend and then the “you still don’t understand the gift that is vampirism” vampire to balance out the equation. it also has stunning visuals but relies on those visuals more than anything so it does get boring
