Mortal Kombat

Call me sadistic, but this is the type of gore I live for. Make sure you watch with your youngest children to ensure expedited maturation.

While far from perfect, Mortal Kombat is still bloody fun, with a solid attempt at adapting the game's insane world. A flawless victory but it’s also not a fatality.

I got what I wanted, just not how I wanted it. My imagination goes crazy with the aesthetics, so I can picture the potential. I mean the gore, catchphrases, outfits, powers, and fight sequences, it's only worth a hard R rating. Like most video game adaptations, it only hits halfway. They honestly should have embraced being a high-budget parody. If it wasn't for half the cast and pacing I would have given this a dislike. The other half of the cast can't act, most of the dialogue is cheesy, the fights are underdeveloped, the editing is atrocious in a few parts, and the overall story is far too rushed. I love Mortal Kombat though, so I'll be sat for number 2.
