How can you not be romantic about baseball? This is tied for my favorite movie of all time. I can quote just about every line. I can’t think of another movie that I’ve seen as many times as this one yet still makes me cry and gives me goosebumps.

One of the greatest baseball movies ever, and there’s hardly any baseball played. It’s a very toned down movie, and a great insight into the front offices of baseball teams.

Never have I seen a story told that so perfectly encapsulates the endless tug-of-war between the yearning for greatness and an unwavering dedication to your roots. With cinematography you could feel in your soul and score to decorate it, this is one of my favorite movies ever.

This is a well constructed movie. I am just not a sports guy, so this one doesn’t appeal to me. But then again ive watched things like the blind side, remember the titans, ted lasso… and loved them. So is it the content or the movie? 🤔
