Logan's Run

I can’t tell if they left out a tremendous amount from the book, or stretched the concept enough to have a feature film.

Pure, unadulterated sci-fi. It’s immensely stylised and the effects are wondrous to look at (not saying they hold up, but they are fun). The use of miniatures is something I have always adored and it works well in this. Story feels a little unfocused at times but I had fun

Logan’s Run is primarily for true sci-fi fans. It’s campy, acting is stiff, effects are generally mid (think…Star Wars was made in ‘77), dialogue and continuity are often cringy but the plot and themes of utopian/dystopian/hedonism/ageism pull it together for a fun watch. Farrah❤️
