Lean On Me

watching this movie is like watching what a right-wing, republican thinks inner-city schools look like. the overt racist tones and austerity measures in this is a microcosm of how reactionaries think america should be "fixed."

It was awesome but I recommend 12+. I also think this is based on a true story, so that makes this movie even better.

Hard nose, militaristic approach to administration. Definitely could have given the teachers some grace. Winds up a little too perfect.

Definitely a flawed film. The pacing just doesn’t feel natural and Clark is ridiculously unlikable for a while. However the glue that keeps this movie together is its heart and passion that does leave an impact when it needs to. An alright movie that just needed a tighter script.
