Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
As a stand-alone, it's a great start to a 'new' story. As a sequel, it has some work to do. The length is okay, but the pacing for the first half was off and on. As soon as Proximus hits the screen, the movie's rating goes up. His vocabulary and voice merge so well with his ideas and looks. Many of the characters had some well-written roles. The acting all around was insane, as usual. The voices, sounds, and expressions were all so good. The vfx/sfx was beautiful, especially for the budget, which I hope they increase. There's a lot of analysing to do as it doesn't explain a lot, and I love it.

Movies ass. Slow af I checked the time 1000 times. They should’ve let the franchise be tbh.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Humans really just mess everything up, time and time again. Noah is no Caesar but damn if these apes don’t make you feel something you’re hollow inside. Kinda feels like this results into nothing but leaves it open ended for a sequel…

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
It was okay , I appreciate that we still felt caesars presence in the movie but it did feel a bit flat maybe I was expecting a lot. I have an incredible soft spot for these apes man that’s what keeps me in this franchise

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Rating: 7.2/10
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a visually spectacular and technically stunning sequel that expands the franchise's world. Director Wes Ball delivers a breathtaking adventure with impressive visual effects.
Highlights
- Visual Masterpiece: The film's visual effects are flawless, with photorealistic apes and stunning world-building.
- Compelling Story: The screenplay is smart and thoughtful, exploring Caesar's legacy and the conflict between humans and apes.
- New Protagonist: Noa is a fantastic and nuanced protagonist, and the supporting cast is equally impressive.
Criticisms
- Ambiguous Human Character: Mae's character is intentionally ambiguous, making it hard to connect with her.
- Slower Pacing: The film's deliberate pace might not match the emotional intensity of Caesar's trilogy.
Verdict
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a successful and ambitious sequel that's a must-see for its stunning visuals and world-building. While it doesn't quite reach the emotional heights of Caesar's story, it's a fantastic and worthy successor.
