I Used to Be Funny

'I Used to Be Funny' is raw, real, and deeply relatable for anyone who’s just trying to get through it, hang onto the good, and make sense of things that don’t make sense.

I really like this kind of movies that make you feel comfortable and feel like you could actually be friends with the characters

It’s uncommon to find this type of humor that doesn’t feel too forced and scripted (even if it is)

I also NEED more movies starring rachel senott

a really powerful story about trauma, loss, grief and the the difficulties of navigating relationships with yourself and others after. Rachel Sennott was absolutely incredible, and i thought the flip flop between past present was a great choice.

The beginning was a bit confusing but once I got a grasp of what it was about it made the movie so much better, Brooke pissed me off but I feel like it that was generally pretty realistic given she’s a child
