House of Spoils

I can’t say i liked this movie but i can’t say i fully hated it either. My thing is if the witch lady was tryna help her whole time then wtf was all the bugs and mold for liiike why you being scary 💀💀💀

I enjoyed the concept of what this movie tried to do but I’m not sure it was fully executed. Parts were interesting but then parts made no sense.

I can see the idea and I can see the potential. Unfortunately, though, the execution of the idea was set ablaze and the potential was served undercooked. It's not really a horror, like how it's not really a comedy. A lot of things happen and a lot of things don't, but you can predict how most of it goes. It did doubt me at times but that's mostly because things weren't making sense. The casting was kind of good? All I know is, Ariana DeBose took something deep, saw the funny and turned it into a comedically entertaining adventure. It doesn't work out in the long run but it kept me till the flimsy end.

I liked it, but it falls short of what it could have been. That doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s just you see where it could have gone. And that place is where I wish it went. Instead you are left longing for that and having to accept the lesser. And it’s fine. You’ll just want something more. And you’ll have to get that some place else.

unexpectedly i enjoyed it.

I can't believe I was tricked throughout the film into believing that the witch was purely evil. Big character development in a certain way, I think.
