Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer

Still a better love story than twilight.

No plot. Just gratuitous murder and assault. Dark ending. Good movie though for the subject.

This movie is well made and I’m glad I saw it, that being said, I never have to watch it again. It’s just dark and sadistic and not something I care to experience again.

RATING - 5.3 🍿

This film follows a serial killer named Henry as he lives with his friend Otis. Soon Otis’ sister comes to stay with them and it’s not long before you realize Otis and his sister have an unusual relationship. Henry and Otis start embarking in dark ways to deal with things and soon things spiral out of control and that all changes as Henry soon finds out Otis is one sick son of a bitch!

I give this watch 5.3 bags of 🍿as this is a movie filmed back in 1990 and definitely has that old movie feel. The acting is almost comical and the movie jumps from scene to scene. Outside of all that, I did enjoy this film as the plot is very unique and very disturbing at times. You don’t get the gruesome gore but you do feel the dread from the level of darkness this movie touches. This is what I would consider a cult classic from back in the day and someone just getting really into horror, I’d say this is a must watch!
