There’s camp and there’s bad. This was… not camp. Honestly painful to sit through, I don’t see the hype other than for the cenobites designs and certain cinematography choices. Are the sequels supposed to be any better?

Amazing film but not recognised that it is actually a British film

love clive barker and this is a classic but does feel a little slow at times. the acting, special effects and unique story set up a great franchise though so you have to admire this for starting it all. 7/10
