Queue doesn’t have an entry for the original Japanese version from 1954, which I’m reviewing: Gripping, awe-inspiring and containing a very modern message, Godzilla (1954) continues to inspire after Ishiro Honda’s creation came ashore nearly 70 years ago.

surely they won’t make 33 sequels and spinoffs of this that sounds like it would get old quick

it’s definitely not the original japanese classic, what with its stifled core script and narrative regarding the nuclear subject matter, but a solid american remake of the ultimate grandfather of kaiju films
