The movie that made us realize the brilliance of Robert Rodriguez, fall in love with Salma Hayek, and respect Antonio Banderas. Make sure you see the other two in the series, El mariachi, and once upon a Time in Mexico.

Upon watching this film, I was brought to realization of what Robert Rodriguez could do with a studio budget. The music, the action, the acting, it is truly wondrous and extravagant and even flashier than the first film. Although I can’t see Antonio Banderas with long hair without seeing The mask of Zorro. Even so, truly brilliant.
