Entirely unrealistic but thoroughly enjoyable. Wonderful sense of catharsis which you face with many samurai films. Terrific performances across the board. Excellent score too, one I’ll definitely go back to. More like this please. Finally watched an Ang Lee film so yay

a lovely martial arts film that gravitated towards the tasteful spectrum. loads of floating about on wires and looking like serious business.
