There were so many things that I enjoyed about this film: the insanely cool concept, Ellie and Palmer’s love story, Foster and McConaughey’s chemistry and the underlying theme of faith and truth not being mutually exclusive. Really good watch!

the universe is a pretty big place. If it's just us, seems like an awful waste of space.

Been wanting to see this but just haven’t sat down with it due to the length and there are some long scenes but my attention was kept in this early science fiction movie. Didn’t know it was a book either might have to check it out.

Decent plot, good characters, and an abundance of relevant philosophical questions. An enjoyable science fiction story.
