Grade A 90’s EdgeKino. Loved the dynamic lighting/water effects; This really is Irreversible done better, Scorsese is just that good at lighting (Scorsese does it to show tension, Noé does it to give the audience a headache). I miss old Robert De Niro. Plot details in pt2

Kinda corny at times but it was fun. Max Cady would have been so hot if he wasn’t a serial rapist 🫤.

Very good acting and an interesting movie definitely just like creepy and not scary

Worth it for De Niro’s terrifying performance but I am not sure some of this aged well. I caught myself wanting to laugh a couple of times, but was genuinely scared at others. A mixed bag for me, but I think that almost all comes down to Scorsese’s style here.
