I hate this movie. The scene in the club is gonna give someone an epileptic stroke. Nicole kidman cheats on her husband the entire movie without showing the smallest bit of remorse. Was her husband neglectful? No. Was he abusive? No. He was perfect and supportive and caring and she cheated on him over and over again and MADE HIS NAME THE SAFE WORD WITH HER INTERN???! She is a terrible person who makes it out of the movie marriage and career fully intact. 0/10

6.7 - I don’t love the experience of essentially watching porn in a packed theater, but this movie itself wasn’t bad.
Nicole Kidman is great. She plays all aspects of her character well. She shows a range of strong emotions & plays off her costars well. Harris Dickinson is fine, but I think his role could have been easily interchanged with a whole bunch of guys.
My first big issue is that I don’t fully buy the plausibility. I just don’t know if I can fully believe any intern being so bold, especially on day 1. And I don’t think I buy into any woman CEO, especially a successful one, with so much to lose, in a post #MeToo world, being so bold to allow something like this when there are so many other ways to satiate these fantasies (as directly stated at the end?). My second issue is that it wraps up all too cleanly. There’s hardly any consequences or damage for anyone involved in any of this? I could maybe look past that much more easily 5 or so years ago but in today’s age I feel like I at least need a scapegoat somewhere.
Ultimately, it’s stuck in the middle in a lot of ways. Doesn’t make a super strong statement with its ending, doesn’t lean into its sexiness or comedy fully, & ends safely & predictably. Maybe I had higher hopes, I don’t know.
But otherwise, acting was solid, music was solid, tension was decent, & the target audience (i.e. the women all aged 25-50 in my 100% full theater with exactly 3 men, myself included) really enjoyed it.

Didn’t provide commentary or a fresh perspective and comes off pretty predictable. Tried hard to be thrilling and sexy but couldn’t quite grip me. I just can’t imagine throwing it all away for a scrawny white dude with no rhythm.

Okayyy so I definitely expected this to be better. In fact I was SO excited for it since I usually love these types of films. However, I feel like I spent most of my time covering my eyes from second hand embarrassment than actually watching it lmfao. I mean usually these types of films have some cringe to it, but this went over the top. I feel like where they went wrong with this is that they made BOTH characters awkward/shy and inexperienced in this realm, rather than having at least one who knows what they’re doing. Yowza.
It also PAINS me to say this but I do not think Nicole Kidman was the right female lead in this movie at all. Her being in this role just did not feel natural at all and I was cringing at almost everything she said and did 😫 (I’m named after her so I feel like I have the right to say this lol)
Overall, I really wish I listened to people when they said this is not a movie you want to watch in theaters with a bunch of strangers around you. It was kind of like watching two adult virgins have intimate relations for the very first time LOL 😭

Gave it several chances to actually get anywhere but gave up around the 40-minute mark. Nicole Kidman needs to get in touch with what an actress of her calibre can and should represent. I saw nothing but a successful CEO who has everything but a satisfied sex life. Most can relate (the sex life part) and some might find it entertaining, if you do good for you. I'm not a rich white woman in her 50s to be fair but I physically can not handle the level of ignorance involved, or the 'dead fish' pace. The direction, scoring and camerawork are great, just wasted on a comically boring story.

Plot sucked, characters sucked, ending sucked. Nothing really good about this movie and I typically like weird movies (ex Saltburn and The Substance). This movie was just a pathetic 50 shades knockoff with no plot 3.1/10 Winnie the Pooh blood and honey 2 better.

This is the worst performance of Nicole Kidman’s career. I thought AI wrote this. Terrible writing, terrible acting, HORRIBLE music, terrible storyline. Had to watch Nicole get fingered for ten mins. Gross. This is a bestiality fetish movie. Uncomfy and so drawn out. SKIP.

Bizarre. All over the place; too many concepts, got lost amongst each other. Never felt/saw chemistry between the two leads, as a consequence the tension never gripped me. The more I digested this film, the more I came to realise it wasn’t very good. Highlight: Antonio Banderas.

truly gave me the ick. plot was so messy and the end was like “ok?”. the cast did their job - nicole outdid herself lol.
some funny moments, in a second hand embarrassment & “tf are we watching and when will it end” way. lastly, the actual babygirl moment was underwhelming.

he has a VERY youthful thing abt him in scenes like when they were wrestling and the panic attack and the “why are you making me feel this way” like i need to take care of him. but he’s also hot so idk what to think. also i hate seeing nicole kidman unless it’s stepford wives idc

What a weird movie. It has some great themes, from duality, masks, kink, and sexuality. But it failed its execution for me. It wasn’t sexy. It wasn’t fun. It wasn’t well done. Sure it explores some interesting themes, but I can’t say I liked it.

A frustrating Erotic Thriller with unfocused camerawork, direction, and characters awkwardly teasing vague half-written scenes around Xmas.
