For a while, the film gets by on silliness alone. But in the end, it all amounts to no more than a sniggery guilty pleasure.

plots kinda predictable,, the ending really picked up and redeemed all the initial cringe i felt from the beginning of the film. did i mention how questionable the lead was?? like the plot and concept was there- if u want regency just watch any bridgerton show they do it better!!

This was so cute and Jennifer Coolidge carried.

Ok…we all know I dislike romance and Jane Austen adaptations don’t always hit the mark for me, but as far as silly, fun, sweet little movie, I really enjoyed it. KR played it perfectly and as if she was “in” on the joke. A good time all around.
