It was ok but I would never watch again

This movie is a great example of how emotionally abusive relationships can make you feel isolated, drained, and like you're never enough. I’m particularly impressed with Anna's acting. She really captured the emotional complexity of her character.

Great depiction of an abusive relationship

I think Anna did a great job showcasing what it looks like/feels like to be in an abusive relationship. I think the story could have been executed better. It did show though how unnoticeable it can be for those who are used to the behavior of an abuser.

5.1 - Anna Kendrick saves this from a much poorer review. She gives one of her better performances here. The dialogue is super stiff, overly blunt, & frequently awkward. None of the supporting cast really sold their roles for me, except for a few moments where Wunmi Mosaku took over & shined through. And the ending falls so flat after a very rushed 3rd act. I just feel like there are so many better stories with this subject matter, which can be so hard to handle.

It was a bit of a hard watch, just because it hit so close to home. The performances, specifically Anna Kendrick, were spot on for the situation and the cast did an amazing job portraying a victim and an abuser.
